All Goa under15 chess tournament

The All Goa under 15 chess tournament organised by our club on the 18th and 19th was a great success. Rtn.Dattaraj in his unassuming style organised the event in a manner that drew a lot of accolades for the club. Sadly due to the loss of an aunt he could not attend the closing and prize distribution. M.L.A. Milind Naik attended the event in the capacity of Chief Guest and encouraged the participants to look towards greater glory. Rtn.Madhav, Rtn. Sanjay Satardekar, Rtn. Sandesh Kundaikar were a great help. During the day Rtn.

Felicitation of headmistress of Govt.School

Today the Headmistress of Government school,Vasco,Mrs.Belivia Valadares was felicitated by the teachers of the school on her retirement. I have not experienced such a farewell earlier which was emotionally charged and with the teachers taking over all the aspects of organising including singing the farewell songs specially written for the occasion. I was pleasantly surprised that I ,as the Rotary President, was honoured with the task of felicitating Madam on behalf of the teachers. Such is the love and affection of the school towards our Club that I could only sense it today.
