Rotary Club of Vasco da gama

Today the Headmistress of Government school,Vasco,Mrs.Belivia Valadares was felicitated by the teachers of the school on her retirement. I have not experienced such a farewell earlier which was emotionally charged and with the teachers taking over all the aspects of organising including singing the farewell songs specially written for the occasion. I was pleasantly surprised that I ,as the Rotary President, was honoured with the task of felicitating Madam on behalf of the teachers. Such is the love and affection of the school towards our Club that I could only sense it today. Tears were rolling down the cheeks of all the teachers and staff present and it amply showcased the love and admiration that Madam had garnered in her two years as Headmistress here. On the occasion Mr.Ghodge, a retired teacher was also felicitated. We, the Rotary Club of Vasco-da-Gama give our best wishes to both of them.
