Rotary Club of Vasco da gama

The All Goa under 15 chess tournament organised by our club on the 18th and 19th was a great success. Rtn.Dattaraj in his unassuming style organised the event in a manner that drew a lot of accolades for the club. Sadly due to the loss of an aunt he could not attend the closing and prize distribution. M.L.A. Milind Naik attended the event in the capacity of Chief Guest and encouraged the participants to look towards greater glory. Rtn.Madhav, Rtn. Sanjay Satardekar, Rtn. Sandesh Kundaikar were a great help. During the day Rtn. Prakash and me attended the TRF alumni reunion and I can only say that all Rotarians should attend such events if we have to understand the essence of Rotary. Some of us try to shirk our Rotarial responsibilities most of the times with the 'I am busy' line. All the participants at the event were very busy professionals or businessman who have made serving through Rotary their mission. My opinion- we need to learn a thing or two from them
