Rotary Club of Vasco da gama

As part of PRESERVE PLANET EARTH program our Club has distributed 25 SOLAR COOKERS to the needy.

Each Cooker can save precious fuels like kerosene, lpg, firewood and play a small role to REDUCE CO2 emmission.

The final programme of the DG in the morning was of distribution of Solar Cookers to poor women from slum area of Mangor hill, who came to our club Community centre, Vasco and more than 25 Solar cookers (worth rs. 49,000/-) are distributed.

The housewives who received this solar cooker profusely thanked the Rotarian for helping to tide their mearge family budget because by using this solar cooker, each housewife would save 3-4 gas cylinder/or precious fire wood which they have to buy from market.

The club’s this project was in line of the District priority of protection, control and of environment. This project also served the club in fulfilling the District priority of Women Empowerment.
