Our Guest speaker for the day, Dr Suraj Kanekar, who is a medical practitioner for last 25 years, spoke on how our ancient Yoga therapy and ayurveda are the answers to our health problems.

He gave examples of problems we as a country have faced by following the treatment from big pharma companies who have the medicine for our problems but do not have the prevention techniques.

By simple breathing exercises, we can improve our health and live longer without being dependent on treatment. It is like 'Prevention is better than cure'

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program of member districts organized into regional divisions in various parts of the world.

RLI seeks to have Rotary Clubs in its member districts identify those Rotarians who appear to have the potential for future club leadership (not necessarily as club presidents) and provide those so identified with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills so important in voluntary organizations.

RLI–Part I consists of:
1. Leadership Characteristics
2. Rotary Beyond the Club

Friday 9th July shall be the Club Assembly.

All Committee Chairs and members shall give the final touches to the planner for 2010-11.

Rtn. Sanjay Satardekar was installed by IPDG Rtn. Guru Bhakta on 2nd July 2010.

Mr. Arun Rosario, GM of MMTC Ltd. was the Guest of Honour. Also present was AG Tejendra Lawande at a well attended function at Hotel La Paz Gardens.

Rtn. Sanjay is an Automobile Engineer and is a social worker by heart.

In his maiden speech as President he stressed upon Every Rotarian Every Year (minimum $100) and spelled out his plans for the year to include projects for basic education and safe drinking water as the priority areas.
